TEACHING INFO

We will again be running some more of our popular taster sessions in the new year.
These evenings give people an opportunity to try their hand at blowing a small clear vessel and experience the unique problems that working with a molten material poses. The evening will include basic glassmaking techniques such as marvering and blowing. Each session will start at 6.30 and be approximately 2 1/2 hours long.

This is a very intensive day and you will find that you learn as much from watching your fellow students as actually working with the glass. Again you will benefit from the small class size and plenty of tutoring. Sounds easy!! The hours will be 9.30 to 5.00 Saturday

We are trying to keep the teaching flexible. If you can organise your own group of four people for any session we can often teach on a different night or a particular day. please give us a call.

The Prices
Evening £35 per person
Day £195 per person

We take a maximum of four people a session. I am sorry but I will have to take advance payment to guarantee places. You can pay over the phone with a credit card, pop in and see us or send a cheque. Payment is non refundable. We can not run courses unless they are full, in which case we will offer alternative dates or give a refund.

At the risk of stating the obvious, glass blowing is physically demanding. If you have a disability or medical condition which affects you in any way, please discuss this with us before you book. We do reserve the right on the evening to not allow you to take part in the session in view of health and safety.

EVENING DEMONSTRATIONS

We do evening demonstrations for clubs and groups. Generally these consist of a couple of explained demonstrations, where you can ask me questions as I am making the piece. There is also the chance for a few of the braver souls to have a quick go themselves.
The evenings can start anytime between 6.30 and 7.30 and will last for 2 1/2 hours. The cost for these evenings is £150.
