The Tableaux range has evolved over many years, mainly fuelled by my fascination for rockpools. Over the years my photos of the pools have changed from close up to distant and back to close-up, due to the proximity of small children, wet curious dogs and the ability of my camera. The concepts have changed little, but the various pieces chart the different stages of my life. Over the years beaches have always been a fascination - not the lovely sandy stretches but the barren rocky scrambly kind of beach that you can lose a day exploring. I have more photographs of rocks and rockpools than my own children - kids if you are reading this it doesnt mean that I dont love you just that - oh never mind.
Over the last few years we have been exploring fantastic pools in the Greek islands and I can lie for a sunburnt hour with my son on our bellies just absorbed in the details of the most amazing colours and shapes in each unique sparkly oasis. |
