Terms and conditions


General

These terms and conditions will apply to all transactions placed online or by telephone with Shakspeare Glass. Please read carefully before placing any order. All contracts shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English Law and any dispute between us will be resolved exclusively in the courts of England and Wales. Nothing in these terms and conditions will be deemed to affect your statutory rights.

By using this site you are agreeing to these terms and conditions and by buying from this site you are entering a legally binding contract.

Orders

We are pleased to accept orders by online transaction via secure server. All credit / debit card transactions are subject to validation checks and are authorised by the card issuer. We accept MasterCard, Visa, Delta, Switch, Maestro and Solo. If the issuer of your card refuses to authorise payment to us, we will not be liable for any delay and / or non-delivery of your order. No orders will be accepted or processed without a valid card payment in the name of the registered cardholder.


The web price includes VAT at 17.5%. To calculate the tax free value of the goods divide the price shown by 1.175.

Delivery

We aim to despatch all orders within 2 working days but this is not always possible. If you have a particular requirement please let us know. Please ensure that the delivery address is entered correctly as we cannot accept any liability for late or failed delivery if the address is incorrect.

UK Mainland Deliveries

These charges are for the UK mainland only and are per address.

For orders of up to 200grams we charge £2.50.

For orders of 201grams to 500grams we charge £3.00.

For orders of 501grams to 1200grams we charge £5.00.

For orders of 1201grams to 2000grams we charge £8.00.

For orders of 2001grams to 3500grams we charge £12.00.

For orders over 3501grams we charge £15.00.

Orders under 2000grams (2kg) will be sent via Royal Mail first class and will need to be signed for. If nobody is in to accept the delivery a card will be left and it will then be the recipients responsibility to contact the post office and arrange delivery. 

Orders over 2000grams will be sent by courier and will also require a signature.


International Deliveries

Please note that medium and large Tableaux are not suitable to be posted or sent by courier and must be collected from our gallery in Taunton with any other items in the order.


In the event that we are unable to supply your goods within thirty days, we will inform you immediately and advise you of the expected delivery date. Outstanding orders / items can be cancelled at any time. In the event of any goods delivered by us being damaged in transit, missing or failing to match the items ordered by you, then such details must be notified by you to us within seven working days of receipt.


If  we receive no such notification the customer will be deemed to have accepted the items as satisfactory. We cannot be held liable for any consequential loss caused by late delivery or failure to deliver by our appointed carrier.


Returns and Exchanges

  • We offer a full money back guarantee.
  • You have 14 days from receipt in which to return your order.
  • You will have to pay the return cost of postage, or collection can be arranged at your cost for larger items.
  • You must return any orders packaged as they were received using similar packaging. Further advice can be found at the bottom of this page or contact us for help.
  • Responsibility for returning items is with the buyer.

    We want you to be entirely satisfied with every purchase made from Shakspeare Glass and are proud of the quality, range and advice that we offer. If you wish to return an item for exchange or you have decided not to keep it (cancel your contract) please;

  • Please contact us within 7 working days from the day after the delivery day.
  • Contact us via Email or in writing.
  • Please complete the details on the returns note, supplied with goods.
  • Return it to us with the products original packaging and labels within 14 days of receipt.
  • All goods to be in a new and unused condition together with a copy of your original receipt.
  • We recommend that all items returned to us to be sent Royal Mail Special Delivery with insurance paid as a minimum or collection can be arranged at your cost.
  • If you feel the goods are faulty please contact us immediately and we will then contact you to resolve the matter, the above conditions also apply.
  • Full returns address with telephone number and email address.
  • Please note if an item is specially commissioned the above returns policy is no longer applicable. If you would like to discuss this further please contact us.


Products, Prices & Content

Whilst every effort is made to ensure the pictures and colours depicted on the site match as closely as possible those of the actual product, due to technical limitations some colours may vary.

All prices are shown in pound sterling (£) and are inclusive of UK VAT at the current rate unless clearly stated.

Prices, product descriptions and specifications are checked to the best of our ability, and whilst every effort has been made to make them accurate, no responsibility will be accepted for errors and omissions.

Any information displayed on our web site or other printed matter by the company is not regarded to be authoritative or certified as the best practice and is only considered to be useful supplementary advice to other certified codes of practice. All information on our web site is updated regularly.

We reserve the right to alter our prices and specifications without notice.

Ownership of Goods

All items supplied to the customer remain the property of Shakspeare Glass until final payment of all sums owing in respect of those goods has been received in full by us.

We will aim to reply within five working days of receipt but please bear in mind we are a small company and on rare occasions may take a little longer.

We will collect and store any personal data that you may volunteer whist using our services, e.g. placing an order, joining our e-mail newsletter or entering a prize draw or competition.

The type of information that we will collect will include - Your title and name, known address, contact telephone numbers, e-mail address, order and payment details. Details may be forwarded securely to other parties in order to fulfil this order only. These will include delivery and payment partners.

We will collect and store information about you to allow us to firstly, process and fulfil any order requirements and secondly to provide you with information to keep you up to date on products, services or promotions we run from time to time. You can opt out of this at any time, either by writing or emailing us.

In addition to the Information that you supply to us, information and data may be automatically collected through the use of cookies. Cookies are small files stored within your web browser from our website. Cookies do not collect personal information about you nor do they allow us to access your computer in any way. All information is collected lawfully and in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 .

We use tracking cookies to identify which pages are being used. This helps us analyse data about web page traffic and improve our website in order to tailor it to customer needs. We only use this information for statistical analysis purposes and no personally identifiable information is stored.
