These pieces are my adaptation of a very old traditional glass making technique.
If you quench a very hot gather of glass into a bucket of water the surface cracks. If you get the temperature right you can crack
the glass through the layers of colour and then blow forcing the
piece to expand and leave the colour effectively in "plates" on the
surface.
