 | Welcome to the Shakspeare Glass website. | |
Valentine's Special This year we're solving the old "What can I give that's special?" conundrum. Will has made a run of these quite lovely Heart Suncatchers, which are available in a one-off Valentine Red colour. You can have them in two formats, either to hang up or as an ornament/paperweight. They'll also be signed and dated by Will himself - engraved on the glass. Limited edition of 100 of each. Approx measurements 11cm x 7cm but please remember they are all hand made and unique. |
Cracking start to the year 2010 has begun much like 2009 ended! Carrying on from Will’s December appearance with Kirstie Allsopp on Channel 4, baubles continue to fly out and the new special edition Heart sun catchers are proving quite a hit too. We’ve already received a couple of special commissions which Will is working on and a gallery in Australia has ordered a shipment of baubles for our first foray down under. New designs are also the order of the day as the first big trade fair is fast approaching, the NEC in Birmingham (February 6th -11th) so Will’s in the local hostelry, thinking cap on and sketchbook to hand - who knows what he will come up with Another knock on from Kirstie’s Home Made Home has been the popularity of the Glass Blowing Courses, which run on Wednesday evenings and selected Saturdays. These are now booked until the end of March but we’re very happy to take bookings for dates after that.

 | Have a wander round the site, hopefully there is something that will catch your eye, from handmade drinking glasses to large hanging wall pieces, paperweights to perfume bottles, vases and bowls - we like to think that we make a fairly wide range of work - product of an easily bored mind, some would say. If you are looking for a present for somebody but can not decide what to buy there is always a Shakspeare Glass gift token for any value that you want - just give us a call We have tried to reproduce the pieces faithfully rather than glossily on the site and apart from sets of glasses and baubles the piece you see is the piece you get. Anyway enjoy having a look and any comments will be appreciated. Our workshop and gallery are in the centre of Taunton, only 5 minutes off junction 25 of the M5. There is a car park right next to us. (Brewhouse Theatre car park) Pop in when you are passing. We generally blow glass four days a week in our studio attached to the gallery. If you especially want to see glass blowing, please ring to make sure that we are making glass on that day. Sometimes everything else gets in the way! If you click on the "studio glass ranges" button on the left that will give you an overview of all our blown glass and cast glass. Thanks Will PS Our glass blowing evenings and days are again proving very popular. Evening sessions are usually on Wednesdays and we run full day courses on selected Saturdays. If you are interested check out our courses page for some more info or email or call us | |
